Melinda Gloss took on a N E W S P A C E at 9 rue Madame, in the heart Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris. The space, previously a bank, is on two levels and measures 92 square meters on the ground floor and 88 square meters in the basement.
The space which accommodates T H E S E C O N D B O U T I Q U E O F T H E L I N E is above all designed as a place for expression. The collections are displayed in the main space and one section is dedicated to collaborations designed with other creative industries (Carlotta Films and Christian Bourgois Publishing). The second level (the basement, the old safe room, where the safes have been conserved), is conceived as an experimental and creative space dedicated to fashion and culture.
To realize this project, the creators of Melinda Gloss have worked in close collaboration with T H E C O L L E C T I F C I G U E , a young team composed of six architects, stage designers and designers (Aesop, YSL, Adam Kimmel, DvF, Isabelle Marrant) with a common approach: work on a space in motion, closely to material.
